Volunteers

COVID-19 NEWS:

Due to the current situation with Covid and government guidelines we are not accepting any volunteers for the foreseeable future.

Rosemount House is a voluntary charitable organisation and we rely on and are grateful for the support and help of volunteers and outside agencies.  Rosemount House recognises volunteers as a core part of our team, with a distinctive complementary role along side paid staff.

We have 3 main areas of volunteering:

Outreach Programme which provides food, sleeping bags and warm clothes to those living on the streets of Belfast. This takes place on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Volunteer Support Worker which involves, assisting and supporting, Key Support Workers with the efficient implementation of the House Programme. General chatting with men and help with events etc.

Volunteer Counsellor. The purpose of this role is to employ active listening and help clients explore feelings about their lives in a confidential and safe environment.  We also provide trainee placements for those studying counselling.
